Save Time and Money by Verifying Insurance Eligibility Electronically

Physicians often spend a lot of time verifying patients’ insurance eligibility and policy coverage.  Wouldn’t it be nice if you could do this electronically and spend more time caring for your patients? You can by using key HIPAA electronic standard transactions.

The American Medical Association (AMA), through their Heal the Claims Process™ campaign, has developed several webinars to help you learn how, as well as toolkits to help you along the way.

Verifying eligibility requirements electronically can help your practice save money, receive payer responses quickly and accurately, free up more time for your patients, and reduce claims rejections and costs associated with verification errors.

The goal of the campaign is to reduce the cost of submitting claims for the physician practice from as much as 14 percent of revenue to just 1 percent, so you can worry less about administrative tasks and focus more on patient care.
