2011 Immunization Schedules Published

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has published the 2011 recommended immunization schedules for children, adolescents, and adults. Providers should carefully review the new immunization schedules and replace their schedules with the new versions.

On March 18, 2011, the Department of Public Welfare issued a bulletin highlighting the changes to the childhood and adolescent immunization schedules.

Changes to the adult immunization schedule are highlighted on CDC’s website.

Federal law requires health care providers to provide patients (or parents of minor patients) copies of vaccine information statements before administering each dose of the vaccines listed on the schedule.
