"Converge" is based on a fictitious group practice—Riverside Gastroenterology, a busy, profitable, two-physician practice owned by Valley Medical Group.

Riverside Gastroenterology is changing. Longtime solo practitioner and owner Michael McCready, MD, recently sold the practice to Valley Medical Group, who brought in a practice manager, Pam Baumgartner, and a young physician, Anish Goday, MD.

Each episode of "Converge" focuses on an incident at Riverside, showing how conflicts, intergenerational differences, financial concerns, and interpersonal concerns can impact the medical team and patient care.
