Physicians Visit Legislators to Urge Action on Mcare Crisis
In response to the Pennsylvania Medical Society’s call for physician action on the Mcare crisis, numerous Medical Society members visited their legislators in their local offices on June 5 and 6.
"The response from our members has been gratifying. The legislators report that your stories and comments were compelling and genuine," Medical Society president Peter S. Lund, MD, FACS, said in a letter thanking those who participated.
The goal of the grassroots visit campaign was for physicians to meet face-to-face with their legislators to describe the impact of the Mcare crisis on medical practices within their local communities.
There’s still time to take action
