Objectives
Physicians participating in this activity should be able to:
- Select strategies to promote the safe use of high-alert medications in labor and delivery.
- Recognize the most frequently reported medication errors that take place in labor and delivery units.
- Identify medications frequently involved in wrong-dose/overdosage medication errors in labor and delivery.
- Recognize the risks associated with omission of antibiotics in labor and delivery settings.
- Distinguish the strong correlation with failure points related to infusion pump management and high-alert medications.
