The Pennsylvania Medical Society has launched the Member Opinion Panel, a group of volunteers who shape the organization by answering a survey about four times a year.
Many members would like to be involved but can’t find the time to attend meetings or the annual weekend-long business meeting known as the House of Delegates.
The Panel is another way to involve members while gathering their input and providing it to the Board of Trustees and the Society’s three administrative councils.
“Even though we’re physicians and we think we know what physicians want, it’s extremely important to test these ideas with our members,” said Bruce A. MacLeod, MD, FACEP, chair of the Board of Trustees.
“We hope this gives many more of our members a sense that they are helping out and that someone really cares what they think.”
To join the Panel, members only need to subscribe through the Society’s website.
